Shells form with the protein of the mollusc and water. Another protein allows to stop the shell growth: it can be useful to avoid obstruction of pipes.
Applications
In the construction industry and specifically for pipes, the shell protein inspired a self-cleaning solution and 100% biodegradable to clean sewer pipes.
