Maggot
CICATRIZATION
Some maggots have the special property to consum only affected tissues, to help cicatrization of healthy tissues by stimulating the production of healing ones. They disinfect wounds without any antibiotics.
Applications
In the health sector, professor Stephen Britland from Bradford University (UK) studied positive effects of maggots. According to his current hypothesis, maggots enzymes can not only be useful to heal wounds but could produce an electromagnetic environment that stimulate cellurar growth. Professor Britland then worked with his partners at Advanced Gel Technologies.
